Hi there! Thought I'd join up here for fun ... I am new to the area [Pittsburgh], having just moved from NYC.

I'm 26 years old, been doing furry stuff for the past 11 years now, and am a full-time artist/costume-maker [fursuits!]. I moved out this way because the rent is half of what I paid in NYC ;]

I graduated from an art school in Boston with a BFA, dual major in Animation and Illustration. I've lived in Connecticut, Florida, Boston and New York, and I've worked at Disney World too, yep ;] I've been Guest of Honour twice at MFF, been deported from a foreign country for bringing fursuits with me [an unlucky day, that] ... fun facts! Aside from making furry stuff, I also collect "designer" toys, do t-shirt designs, collect all kinds of music, and travel a lot. :] Sometimes I draw myself as a fennec, but it's really been a while since I really identified with a "fursona."

I'm a white wolf, wooooo..... I'm trying to think of ways to make him stand out, but I'm bad with coming up with fur patterns >.> I'm an artist (duh lol) but not a very good one. Ive been in the Fandom for the past 8 years of my life (I started when I was 12) But am just now starting to talk and be open. I was bullied a lot back in high school, so bad that I had to go to therapy for 2 years, and it left me a bit scared of being social. But I found the furry community and in that I found sanctuary. My life line was the comic Altermeta by Noben.

Well that got deep now didn't it haha so whats up? I'd love to meet some awesome fuzzy people! bring on the furrys!!!!!!

Hey all. I was wondering if anyone would like to join me down at the Jersey shore for a day trip on Friday. I am not sure which shore I want to go to yet but those details could be figured out if I had people who wanted to go. I can get about 3 more people in my car. AIM=fairlyoddkitten YIM=phantomkitten7

So as it turns out, the reason that fursuits aren't allowed is because they freak out the Zoo's animals. That, and we wouldn't be able to dress up anyway because the ZooBoo event is for children only. (I guess adults don't like to dress up once in a while?) <_<

So I have devised a new plan: Fursuiting at the Mars Applefest!

Sadly, I'm not going to be able to make it to the Philadelphia Zoo meet up. I SHOULD have my fursuit by then and I'd really like to show it off in public before FurFright (besides, any reason to dress up in a fursuit is a good reason, right?) ...So would anyone else be interested in attending a similar event at the Pittsburgh Zoo that same weekend?

About my furriness; I've always enjoyed cartoons and such, but I've been drawing anthro art on and off through high school (that was a long time ago... about six years?) I've only had a fursona for a year or so, though. My first furry identity was a black rabbit, but she quickly turned into a kestral, and then an unnamed wolf. Lokii, my current and strongest fursona, is a wolfaun: as Capricorn (my zodiac sign) is a sea goat, Lokii is also a goat wolf. It is difficult to explain entirely, since I don't consider myself to be a half-and-half-hybrid, but both animals... hence the creation of the wolfaun! :3

The Western Pennsylvania Furry Weekend is coming up on October 1-3, 2010, in Pittsburgh, PA. That's just over a month away and the staff and I have been busy getting everything ready for your arrival and a fun weekend of furry fellowship.

First, let me send my thanks to everyone who's pre-registered for the Western Pennsylvania Furry Weekend already for the basic and supporter levels! Thank you so much for your support of the event.

Everyone else...well what are you waiting for? Pre-registration closes on September 12th and with it your chance to save some $$ from the "at the door" rates.

So what are you doing for Labor Day? I'll be hanging up with family up at my uncle's campsite in Tempelton, hoping it's warm enough for a good day of boating.
