Looking for people to come out to Bubbas and check out an awesome band. They'll be playing for me in July and wanted to head out there and show them some love. I have a modest crew coming already, some are members of Beer Wagon who will also be playing for me so YUS come meets some awesome band members and knock back a few too many beers with me :3

Next Friday (the 25th of May), Wes Anderson's newest movie Moonrise Kingdom hits theaters!

Local theaters and showtimes are not as of yet posted, so I don't have an exact time or date (but I'll change this when and if I do).

Anderson has previously written/directed such movies as Fantastic Mr Fox, The Royal Tenenbaums, and Rushmore, among others. Moonrise Kingdom opened at the Cannes Film Festival this week and has been getting some pretty good reviews!

I will be running a series of charity events in July at Fordham and Old Dominion brewery. Each night I will have a different band come to play and each band is representing a different fire department. The departments that are being donated too are the Milford, Little Creek, Clayton, and Middletown departments. Usually we try to make our events for people of any age, but for the sake of one less concern this is a 21 and over event, and we will be IDing.

Cost: $5 entrance, food included in cost, $1 beers
Dates: July 6, 13, 20, and 27

I've kinda lost track of time and haven't been able to do these events lately. If you don't already know them, I hold them at the independent theater on mainstreet in Newark, DE.

While the Rocky Horror Picture Show meet we did last attracted a good bit of attention, I'm debating how often we should do it. Seeing as it is a pretty fun event to go to multiple times and it's really not that expensive.

- However! One of the bigger thoughts in mind. The theater does buy one ticket, get one free Tuesdays. Would you be interested in seeing a movie Tuesday afternoon or night? Please comment! I know it's kind of a strange day of the week to go, but when bringing someone it's totally worth it.

So yeah my new suit is done but WAY too tight in the shoulders... So tight the zipper broke off.

Is there anyone that can make a fursuit bigger? AND a new zipper that won't give up and is a little more robust?

I think its kinda gross to wear fur in public that's been used in that manor. The whole conference room hurfy durfy fur-pile seemed well off track as well. What anyone does in private is their own business, I'm no angel but if I were the hotel staff I'd probably be searching for a hose...

I've had this great idea bouncing around in my head this week... Why not make a deck of cards designed for The Furst State? So, I thought it would be cool if each of the 54 cards in the deck had a character/fursona from our group on it. The backs of the cards could have the Furst State group logo on them. I've already got one example card design done, and another in the works (minus the backs of the cards). (I'll post the examples when they're both done.) I hope to have these printed in an actual deck, possibly by the printing company that's practically next to my house, since they seem to print pretty much EVERYTHING. If they don't print cards, I'll look around online.

If you want your character featured in the deck, leave me a post with the link to a clean reference image or reference sheet please, and be sure to include in your post the number/value and suit of the card you want the character on (for example: King of Diamonds, or 9 of Hearts. For the Red Joker you would say Red Joker, since there are only two Jokers in a deck, and as of the time I'm first posting this, the Black Joker is already taken). One character per person please, and be sure to check if the card you want is already taken, as there obviously won't be duplicates.

Well, it's been around a year and a half since I joined the Furst State, and I think I've somehow found arraignments for a room near AC! Now, here's the complicated thing. I've gotta' get from here in Newark, DE (University of Delaware) to a hotel around 25 minutes away from AC, and obviously back. Taxi's suck, but worst case scenario, I can *GASP* ask someone in my family to take me, or even use the car myself. But I'll be in Newark, so it'd be much more conveniently for a carpool! Wondered if anyone else is going to be at the Point to Point steeplechase at Winterthur tomorrow. Oh, and in case you're someone who doesn't see this post till tomorrow or something and ARE actually going, if you need to find me, I'll be wearing an olive green hat (kinda military cadet hat looking in style, but not camo, just green. it has some silver-ish buttons on the front) which may or may not have light blue/white lynx ears with silver/grey inner fur attached to the sides at the time you see me. If anyone is wondering, its the hat I wore to the past two furbowls. That is if anyone remembers it.

I'll also be wearing a black, v-neck hooded sweater/sweatshirt if that helps. Good luck should you try to find me.

I'm sitting here in my home, partially inebriated, at my "wedding planning party." Im not even sure I still want to marry him, look like a moron here with my mouth shut. Only thing I've said was a joke. "Can I wear my fursuit?"

The biggest issue I have with fursuiting is the flippin heat!

I'm borrowing a design used by welders and moulten metal workers.
A shirt laced with cappalary tubing, cooler, and circulator pump.
I've worn one while operating in a heated paint booth at 145F, it was still toasty but bearable for three hour job.

My design will include a hood and dramatically smaller chilling unit, that will fit in a small backpack. It can also be intermitantly chilled with a detached liquid CO2 canister.
An electronic miniature circ pump will eliminate the need for a heavy sealed lead acid battery. Estimates are giving me a 4hr span before having to add ice with the shirt sitting at 125F.

I'll take pics when I prototype it. :3

I collect plush teddies (my main fursona) and have an astounding fasination with fuzzy four legged wildlife.

I have a partial suit en-route that matches my alternate fursona (more on all that later). In my shop is my full suit. I'm an automation engineer not an artist so this should be interesting, I do have an aritist and Taylor in my corner, it should look professional

Originally it was just going to be a cook out and hang out and such, but since theyre having the arts fest, that just adds more to do!! Food vendors, demonstrations, entertainment, Me, but the negative part is you'll have to go outside. Ya know, away from your computers. Sorry for the convenience ^^
