Arcade meet Part 2!

Mon, 2017-06-26 18:40
Where?
Wilmington Home Amusement
14 Germay Dr, Wilmington, DE 19804

When?
July 22nd, 12pm-2pm

An arcade with old and new arcade machines, pinball machines, and even pool tables.

Reminder!
The arcade machines get cycled out every few months. There will possibly be new Machines on the floor for us to enjoy.

A 2 hour party includes unlimited free play on all games, pizzas, sodas, water and juice. All parties are 100% private. Please do not come in a fursuit. Tails and ears are fine.

We'll be able to have at least 50 people this time around! We are hoping to expand the number even more in the future!

So you're wondering, what's the catch? Each person must chip in $7 to be able to pay for the party room.

I will be asking around July 15th for those who wish to attend to chip in the $7. If someone can't make it refunds will be given immediately.

Paid means you're paying now. Pending means you'll pay on July 15th.

Here is the Paypal: https://www.paypal.me/Andrades

Please message me on Telegram @Prince_Mai or email me at MaiDair11@gmail.com.

RSVP
You can RSVP at our FurVSP site: https://www.fursvp.com/group/DEFurbowl
Note: Only check the box for bowling if you actually plan to bowl.
If you are going to just hang out at the bowling alley, don't check the box!

Please only RSVP if you are fairly positive you're going to be there. It helps us a lot with planning to have an accurate count!

Details about the Delaware Furbowl
Folks will begin gathering at the bowling alley at about 8:30PM. There is a Dunkin Donuts (open til 8pm) and a restaurant (open til 11pm) attached to the bowling alley; you are welcome to come earlier for a bite to eat or some snacks! However, the meet won't actually start until later. We will begin accepting payment for bowlers at 8:45. Credit cards can pay at the bowling alley's front desk and cash payment can be accepted in the Event Space at the alley!

Bowling is $15 for shoes and unlimited games for three hours! Note: everyone MUST wear bowling shoes in order to bowl, including fursuiters.

We will turn on the lanes around 9:00. Groups will be limited to 4 or 5 bowlers per lane. The group picture will take place in the party room at 10:30!

At midnight we shut the DE Furbowl down. Go home, go somewhere! You just can't stay here!

Delaware Furbowl Standards of Conduct

Fri, 2017-05-05 22:21
Delaware Furbowl Standards of Conduct

The Delaware Furbowl is a monthly event sponsored by The Furst State that celebrates the furry fans of the Delaware region and tri-state area with a bowling meetup. It is a relaxed atmosphere that tries to focus on a fun and memorable evening. To ensure this we have created a Standards of Conduct for all attendees of the Delaware Furbowl. Anyone in attendance of a Delaware Furbowl hereby agrees to these policies. These rules apply to all aspects of the Delaware Furbowl.

Delaware Furbowl reserves the right to amend these rules at any time without prior or posted notice and reserves the sole right of interpretation. In any dispute, the general rule above will apply.

General Rule:

The Delaware Furbowl Organizers retain the right to remove and/or restrict persons or groups who cause interference or incidents with Delaware Furbowl activites, venues, or guests. The Delaware Furbowl is a privately run event and reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual for any reason. Safety and fun of attendees, guests, and vendors is our number one concern during the events.

In addition it is expected that you abide by any and all rules and regulations that the vendors may have for their establishment.

Public Behavior:

While at the Delaware Furbowl you are expected to act like a civilized member of society. Rough-housing, overly affectionate public displays of affection, swearing, and destructive behavior are not allowed. Harassment, stalking, or unwanted contact will be met with a "one-strike" or zero-tolerance policy; "No" means "No" always. Please be courteous to other attendees, vendor staff, and non-Furbowl guests at all times.

Also remember that we are in a public setting. These events are family friendly affairs and oftentimes this is people's first exposure to furry at large. Remember that we need to present "those people who dress up like animals" in as positive a light as possible. We're the ambassadors of the furry fandom for the people we encounter.

Hygiene:

It is assumed that you will posses a good sense of hygiene while at the Delaware Furbowl. If you are bearing a noticeable offensive odor, you will be asked to rectify it or possibly be removed from the event. This includes fursuiters.

Fursuits:

Fursuits at the bowling alley are allowed. Bowling shoes must be worn at all times if a fursuiter is bowling.

If you plan on leaving our area to wander around in suit, it is highly recommended that you have a handler ready. And keep in mind the feelings of the other patrons and respect your boundaries.

Alcohol:

Alcoholic consumption should be kept within moderation and may only be consumed by adults over 21. Buying alcohol for minors is strictly forbidden by Delaware Furbowl rules and Delaware State Law. If you are found out to be supplying alcohol to a minor we will be obligated to contact the police. If you are approached by a minor to acquire alcohol for them then say "No" and report it to an organizer.

If someone becomes too intoxicated they will be asked to leave the event prematurely and be issued a warning.

Weapons:

Weapons of any sort are restricted from all Furbowl events. If you are seen with any type of weapon you will be asked to remove it from the premises of the event immediately and possibly be asked to leave the Furbowl prematurely. If it is found out you are concealing a weapon you will be restricted from the Delaware Furbowl.

This also extends to gas-powered weapons such as airsoft guns, paintball guns, etc. A good general rule of thumb, if it requires body protection to use it, please don't bring it.

Dress Code:

Tails, ears, collars, and other furry accessories are welcome at Delaware Furbowls. Please leave the leashes, revealing clothing, and BDSM gear at home. If you wouldn't wear it in front of your parents, don't wear it here.

Artist Alley:

The Furbowl Artist Alley is for artists to have a place to comfortably create and even sell art. There is no guarantee on whether you will have a spot at the table. Spaces at the Alley will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis.

All commissions are deals brokered between artist and commissioner and will be treated as such. Furst State will not regulate or be held responsible for deals gone bad between artist and commissioner. If an artist gains a reputation for not honoring their deals Furst State reserves the right to restrict the artist from doing business at the event.

Respect of Property:

During the event, please respect the property of the bowling alley. This means no climbing on, damaging, or inappropriately treating equipment at the bowling alley. No standing on chairs, dancing on tables, walking on the actual bowling lanes, etc.

It is expected that you will clean up after yourselves at the event. Don't leave your trash on the floor, a table, or outside - pick it up and throw it away.

If an attendee does damage bowling alley property they will be held responsible for cost of repairs and any applicable fines.

Minors and Parental Consent:

In the case of minors above the age of 13, it will be assumed that any parents or legal guardians have granted permission for their attendance at the Delaware Furbowl. Neither The Furst State nor Bowlerama will accept any liability regarding minors above the age of 13 at a Furbowl.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the Delaware Furbowl.

Release of Liability for Personal Injury:

Neither Delaware Furbowl, The Furst State, nor Bowlerama will not be responsible for any personal injury due to neglect of bowling alley/ Furst State rules, or rough-housing during the events.

In addition, any costumers must relieve the bowling alley of any responsibility when it comes to personal injury relating to or dealing with costumes and/or masks.

Release of Liability for Personal Belongings:

All attendees will take responsibility for their own belongings. Neither Delaware Furbowl, The Furst State, nor Bowlerama will not be responsible for missing or damaged items.

Delaware Furbowl FAQ

Fri, 2017-05-05 22:06
Delaware Furbowl FAQ:

I signed up but can't make it!
If you've signed up but have to cancel for whatever reason, you can cancel through the e-mail FuRVSP sends you when you sign up. If you can't find that e-mail, you can private message reaux here on the forums or on telegram, and I can remove your RSVP.

Can I just come to just hang out?
Sure you can come to just hang out! Some of our folks come just to socialize! But the bowlers are the ones we count on to make this event happen - if we don't have enough people sign up for bowling, we end up spending our own money on this event. Please consider bowling!

Do I need to spend any money?
Payment is not required in order to attend! However, we encourage you to at least buy a soda or a snack at the alley to ensure they enjoy hosting our group!

How much should I bring for everything?
Expect to bring about $25 for bowling, snacks, and drinks!

Is there a bar?
There is a bar at the bowling alley where alcohol can be purchased. Bowlerama does not deliver alcoholic drinks to bowlers, so you'll have to go to the bar to grab them yourself. Please drink responsibly!

Is there food there?
Yes! Bowlerama has an attached restaurant called The Spare Rib, as well as an attached Dunkin Donuts (but that closes at 8pm). There is also a traditional bowling alley snack bar offering pizza, fries, soft drinks and more.

Can I wear my fursuit?
Fursuits at the bowling lanes are welcome! We will have a headless lounge set up so you can have some privacy for cooling down and changing. Remember, ALL bowlers must wear bowling shoes in order to bowl, including fursuiters.

Whats this I hear about a Group Picture?
Around 10:30PM we'll try to gather everyone in the Event Space for a group picture!

Do I need to buy a badge?
No, they aren't required! But they're a fun way to show your support for the event, the number of DE Furbowls you've attended, and let everyone know your name!

Furst State Jump-off 3: get ready to GLOW! April 21!

Fri, 2017-04-14 14:31
Join us for a meet at the Sky Zone Trampoline Park! This time we're going to attend during the GLOW promotion! Wear your blacklight reactive clothes, or even paint your face (just make sure it's not going to smear or sweat off)!

Where:
Sky Zone Newark
Amusement Center
211 Executive Dr #3

When:
Friday, April 21, 6:30pm - whenever
We will meet in front of the building at around 6:15 - 6:30. If you're late, that's OK - come on in, pay at the front desk, and you'll find us jumping around!

Cost:
$18 for two hours of jump time. This includes the purchase of "sky socks," the socks they provide for jumping. Sorry, you can't wear your own socks, shoes, slippers, footpaws, etc! You can buy your ticket in person on online here: http://newarkstore.skyzone.com/areas/GLO...04-21-2017

Dress:
Wear comfortable clothing! You must empty your pockets before jumping. No wallet chains, dangly earrings, or other dangly stuff that hangs off your body. No tails or fursuits, sorry!

Note: in order to jump, you must sign a waiver. You can print and sign it in person, or you can print it out online and sign it and bring it with you to save time! Waiver here: https://newarkstore.skyzone.com/waiver/

Another note: If you just want to come hang out, you can, but the tables for hanging out are spaced out pretty far from the jumping part of the park. Best bet is to plan on having someone to hang out with, so you won't be sitting alone for the night!

After we jump, we'll grab a late dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings! Hope to see you there!

Picnic in the Park meet! May 6, - CANCELLED

Fri, 2017-04-14 14:06
We're cancelling this meet because of the yucky weather that's going on tomorrow. I'm sorry everyone! We will try to reschedule this for an upcoming weekend!

Where: Smith Bridge Picnic Area inside First State National Historical Park
Map of park: https://www.nps.gov/frst/planyourvisit/u...rk2016.pdf
Google map link: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/''/smith...39.8337955

When: May 6, 11:00am - dusk (or whenever we feel like leaving!)

Join us for an afternoon of outdoor fun! The Smith Bridge Picnic Area is right up against the Brandywine Creek, so come prepared to splash around! We can play in the creek, hike the trails, hang out and have fun! Feel free to bring frisbees or any other outdoor games you'd like to play. We will be showing up early in order to grab a picnic spot. We will be providing hamburgers and hotdogs to grill – any beverages (sorry, no alcohol is permitted in the park), snacks, desserts, or side dishes you would like to bring are welcome and appreciated! We will also provide plates, napkins, and utensils.

The park does have restrooms available. If you have a fishing license, you can fish in this area. If you have a canoe or kayak and want to bring it, you can also use it here! Dogs are welcome, but there is no off-leash area, so be prepared to keep your dog on leash with you at all times.

Feel free to wear ears or a tail, but we do not recommend fursuits due to this area being...well, dirty! It's a park by a creek, the ground is bare dirt.

Hope to see you there!
