Making An Effective Introduction
I figured I'd take a moment and write up some suggestions for making an effective introduction on this site, to help us get to know you better, and help you discover what a bunch of weirdos we are get to know us better!
Why should I make an intro post?
Like I just indicated, we're a community of people who all know and interact with each other. We'd like to interact with you, too. In order to do this, we all need something to talk about.
What should I cover an intro post?
Start by telling us a little about yourself:
- Do you work or go to school?
- Do you have any hobbies or interests?
- Tell us how you found furry, and what parts of furry interest you?
- Do you write, draw, or fursuit?
- Have you attended one or more conventions?
- Do you run any conventions?
Are pictures okay?
If you feel comfortable posting a picture of you in real life or of your fursona, feel free to do so.
Do we have to live IN Pennsylvania?
It's not mandatory, but it helps! For more info on this topic, see our Who Is Welcome Here? page.
Do we have to be furry to post here?
No, that's cool if you're not. If you're "furry friendly" or just curious about the fandom, you're welcome to participate here.
Anything I shouldn't mention?
Keep in mind that these are all-ages forums. If there's something you wouldn't want to say around the 12-year old son of the local police chief, you probably shouldn't post it here.
What is the soup of the day?
New England Clam Chowder.
