So does anyone else here have a strange obsession with those fluffy critters? where do you like to shop for yours? what do you like to collect? have alot? want more? share your plushie collectors stories here.
I myself have over 800 TY bennie babies, and a bit over 1k other plushies. I mostly enjoy collecting foxes and wolves, or sonic characters, i also collect ryoohki from tenchi muyo and disney characters.
I prefer amazon.com to ebay but use them both...ill get em anywhere really.

yeah i should too...my whole family is pissed at the amount i have...right now most of them are in storage in big moving bins...and my family is waiting for me to move out so they can get em out of the house...honestly the only ones on display are the ones with special meaning to me

I have over a few thousands. It's been my thing since I was a little kid, and normally I'll get them from stuffedsafari.com or anywhere else I happen to see them. 
Im collecting more raccoons at the moment.
I have like 3. You just can't ever find really good reptile and dragon plushes. I got a really good kamodo dragon plush back at anthrocon 2008.

I hope no one minds me necroing this thread here....I have quite a collection that I continue to build as I can. I mostly seek out the bigger plushies: usually, anything 2 feet tall/long or larger, and the bigger the better to me, with my biggest being a 54" tall Papa Minky bear from MJC's Purrfection line. I tend to collect the weird, unusual species. I always sleep with my stuffies unless I have a human in bed. One of mine I won in Children's Hospital bingo when i was two. He was more than twice my size at the time. His tagged name is Joshua Bear but I always call him Big Bear. I don't mind geeking out about my stuffies but at least here I can do so with fewer weird looks! Most of mine are still at the old house...

i dont know how many i have, my collection is basically a result of me never getting rid of anything, id love to start actually collecting them someday as i wuv stuffies :> my favorite is probably my platypus, not pictured here..he fits perfectly in my arms 
maybe someday ill also get a better picture..theres some kindof buried haha
every year on valentimes day i order a pokedoll from japan on ebay
i have 6 meerkats and sevral other animals :) 2 stuffed ferrets, few racoons, foxes, and dogs of many varieties

Yep! That's Meeko! You might notice I have quite a few Disney plushies. There are still quite a bit more I intend to get, whenever I have the means and can find them!

Errr.. I don't have quote that many. I have about a dozen+ big cat plushies that cover my sofa and other surfaces of my apartment.
I had to slow down on how many plushies I buy, due to running out of places to put them.
I can post a couple of pictures sometime.
