It's really frustrating for me that there's literally little to no furries in the Northeastern region of PA (at least, where I am). Where are you hiding?? I want to meet you, for real. I want to go to meets, I want to make more friends, I just want to at least TRY to be more social. And any 'close' meets are at least 2+ hours away from me.

Where am I? Bradford County. Apparently no one has heard of it. About an hour away from Williamsport, since most people have heard of that town, to give you an idea if you're a 'local' to the area or surrounding area(Drunk. I've tried planning meets but no one that's in this region has come out to my neck of the woods (literally) away from the town/city for a day in the country. It sucks.

Kind of a vent thing, but...if there's anybody out there, holler at me? Also, if you know of any meets/events/etc. near/close by tell me that too!

Hey! I am on the eastern side of PA, but south. I live in Lancaster County, so I'm somewhat close to you? In a way. Honestly I have the same struggle with finding events that are less than 2 hours away. We should try and organize a con somewhere midway between you and I. I think it'd be a good idea to maybe bring some eastern PA furries out of hiding. I only really sort of know one other furry close to my area lol.

I wish there was something like WPAFW but on the eastern side, I think that would bring a good turnout.

I'm very sorry that you're frustrated by the lack of like-minded friends in your area and the lack of support for the events that you're trying to coordinate.

Population determines densidy of furs in your area. Outside of the major metropolitain hubs here in PA, Philly and Pittsburgh, you have to expand to "regional" to bring enough Furs together for meaningful meets.  Harrisburg for example is a conglomerate of Harrisburg, Mechaniscsville and York

There was a border collie fur who lived and worked up near Williamsport.  He was a blip on the radar though as he joined and just as quickly went silent.

That said, there used to be a Kenobles Meet that ran for a couple years that appeared to get a good draw.  It was held in August.  I think they set up group camping at one of the State Parks for overnight accomodations.

Don't get frustrated.  Stick around and keep an eye out.  There are new furs joining every week.

*hugs*

Hi there! I'm originally from Hazleton myself! I know there are quite a
few Furs in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area, and I know at least one from Williamsport. Unfortunately, there's not
so much NEPA action on this site, but if you're on Facebook, just do a
quick search for the "NEPA Furries" group. Alternatively, there's the
NEPA Furries group on Telegram, if that's your thing.
