Dance My name is The Great DukuTree ^.^ but my RL name is Andrew. Hi nice to meet you ^.^ I'm from Somerset, where the cows out number the population, and if you hear banjos your suppose to cover your tail and run. But here in oct. Ill be off to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh! Yay!

I'm a white wolf, wooooo..... I'm trying to think of ways to make him stand out, but I'm bad with coming up with fur patterns >.> I'm an artist (duh lol) but not a very good one. Ive been in the Fandom for the past 8 years of my life (I started when I was 12) But am just now starting to talk and be open. I was bullied a lot back in high school, so bad that I had to go to therapy for 2 years, and it left me a bit scared of being social. But I found the furry community and in that I found sanctuary. My life line was the comic Altermeta by Noben.

Well that got deep now didn't it haha so whats up? I'd love to meet some awesome fuzzy people! bring on the furrys!!!!!!

Hey, I'm an AIP student... =P What are you gonna major in? I was supposed to graduate from the game art program in March but I had to take a couple quarters off to work on my portfolio.

Media arts and animation.... I'm super nervous haha Ive never liked my art... And I'm scared that I'm not going to get any better, that's the fearful part of me talking though haha I'd be better off with a mouse fursona Tongue

How is the game design major? I was going to take some of those classes in my last quarter ^.^

I actually started out in MAA and was in it for 3 quarters, but transferred to game art because I couldn't stand doing 2D animation. I just thought it was extremely dull and repetitive. 3D isn't so bad though.

Receiving professional instruction will definitely make you improve. Trust me, it will. The thing is, you have to buckle down and be extremely devoted to your work. Learn to manage your time wisely so that you can squeeze every hour out of every day and use it to your advantage.

Art school is a LOT harder than most people think. For the past 3 years, I have been practically devoid of a social life. I wish I was exaggerating, but it's true. My projects and homework have CONSUMED just almost every aspect of my life.

Just a warning... be prepared to WORK. YOUR. BUTT. OFF.

*Sees an opportunity to be artsy fartsy* I'll get right on that fur pattern problem, don't worry! I'll just need a tattoo needle and a -whooole- mess of spray paint... *puts on dalmatian spotted fedora* I has artsy fartsy hat ^^

Hi there!
two of my very best friends are from Somerset. We met when we were 8 years old, that was 34 years ago, and I spent a lot of weekends at their house. I grew up in Butler, so I know how growing up in hicksville sucks, especially if you are 'different.'

But I have gone to Somerset specifically TO hear banjo music - at the Coleman Station Bluegrass Festival.
A lovely little festival with top-notch music in a beautiful setting.

Anyway, nice to meet you!
Best to you on your dreams at the Art Institute.

I feel your pain. The smell of ammonia or even just the thought of a hollow piece of metal under my skin makes my skin crawl.

Also, I've been contemplating various fur patterns, so far they're all in black and white, because I don't know you're favorite colors. Any suggestions? Also, plenty of the involve lots of swirls and shtuff O_o

Wow, thanks! I didn't think you were serious about that o.o um... I've been playing around with a pattern that almost looks like leaves across the fur. But I'm still not sure about the color scheme... It just looks to weird to have green on white fur... You can try to make it work, or you can play with some other colors, my fursona can be a group project hehe ^.^

Yep. What we could do is give your fursona a primary black back splash and then give him some kind of neon green and silver/white design.

I've been telling myself that I'm going to draw my swirly black and white idea, but every time I get a decent amount of free time someone tells me to go do something(youngest person in my household DX), and when I get some truly free free time I use it to unwind.

Welcome to the site Duku, And you live in Somerset?

Funny enough, I just got back from a Holiday from Somerset, South west of England, But I am now at home in the South east of England, Near London.
