Important Info
 Saturday, September 9, 2017
Time: 10.30am to 6.30pm
Location: Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival
Costs: $19.50 for adults, $8.00 for kids 5-12 (under 5 is free) if purchased online. $21.00 for adults, $10.00 for kids at the door.
Additional Notes: Sept. 9 & 10 is Wine Revelry Weekend. There will be wine tasting and Italian shenanigans!

The Renaissance Festival is location just off of I-70, exit 51A (Route 31). For those with GPS, the physical address is: 112 Renaissance Lane, West Newton, PA 15089.

Discounts are available at Walgreens, and will save you $3 on the admission price. Parking is FREE.

Costuming is encouraged. If you don't have your own period garb, they have some available to rent. Given the festival grounds are wooded, and the meet will happen rain or shine, I'd leave fursuits at home (although if you really want to wear yours, they won't be upset). Ears and tails are okay, though. We had a grand time wearing them last year.

The area is quite hilly, but beautiful. Be prepared for some climbing in and out of the various areas. ATMs are available, but carrying cash is not unwise.

Meeting up outside the gate before the festival officially opens would be awesome. However, it's not uncommon for folks to come later, and we'll likely run into each other numerous times on the grounds.
