I've been to a few meets and have seen a few fursuits as well as countless videos from all the big meets and have decided that I have waited long enough to start working towards my own ^^. I have a 2-3 year plan on getting the full suit without anyone noticing what is going on (in terms of non-furries). Since I really don’t have any skills in terms of textile construction...or artist skills for that matter, it’s obvious I’m going to be best that I commission someone to do so.
So first step is obviously going to be to get a reference sheet, which I would like to have done before the end of May. I have a way of getting a few reference pictures to start out with, but it’s going to be about a week or so till I can get to them. If interested in doing my reference sheet let me know (include prices and possible a sample of your drawings). I know this is going to sound a bit corny but I’m looking for something that isn't to cartoony or too realistic. Also be aware that I may not be able to do the money transfer through electronically, it will more than likely be through personal checks or just cash would be preferred (but I know how dangerous that can be).
The second step will be the partial suit which won’t be for possibly 9 months to a year from now. Figured this would be best instead of jumping straight to the full suit, get an idea what it’s like to be in one of them. That and hopefully at this stage in my life I'll be working towards a stable job and be able to work out a balanced time frame between work and life. This I will discuss in more detailed when we get to here.

Just a quick update. I have been looking around and have been in contact with those who construct partials and it seems I won't need a ref sheet after all. I have a few pictures of what I would like done in terms of both design and style which seems to be enough for what I am asking for. Therefore, I am not required to get a ref sheet first, doesn't mean I wouldn't mind ordering one . So now I am looking for anyone who is will take my commission to construct my partial. The time line is still close to the same as before, I likely won't be getting too serious till as early as November. This could change on a daily bases, pending a few issue's (I could all of a sudden have a major opportunity tomorrow to have it ordered) so keep a eye out for this.
