I'm adding this with the knowledge that i may not be able to go if i'm confirmed to work FCN in detroit. Still... Sakura Sunday! Yay! In fairmount park, the annual cherry blossom festival will be taking place, with faire-type food, martial arts demonstrations, taiko drumming, a few anime cosplayers, japanese tea ceremonies, and all sorts of workshops around japanese culture. It's mostly outdoors, so dress for the weather and don't forget sunscreen. Admission is $5, but includes free bus transportation to and from Broad & Sansom in center city philadelphia from 10am-4:30pm. Why don't those who are going all meet at the nearest end of the fountain at 1pm, so we can find a spot and picnic together? |
