If I didn't have work on Saturday night, I would totally come. I might ask for that weekend off next month. =3
Remember our next DE Furbowl will be May 28th.
However with Anthrocon the following month we will NOT be having a DE Furbowl in June!
Delaware Furbowl 26 Post Meet Report
It's kind of scary how smooth these Furbowls are becoming because Furbowl 26 was another superb event! The turnout was healthy with a total of 127 furries coming out to the event!
In fact there was only one very minor event that I feel I need to bring up for the night and I just want to re-iterate a rule concerning alcohol. Alcohol can not be taken outside the alley, and you can not have it on prominent display in your automobile. The bowling alley can lose their liquor license if a police officer comes by and sees that. I will be adding this to the standards of conduct as well.
The last few DE Furbowls you may have noticed significantly less running around on my part! A lot of this is due to the fact that we've been taking attendance slightly differently! My original plan was to have you counted when we stamped a badge or your hand if you didn't have a badge, however it has been too tough logistically to pull this off, so now we have badge stamping seperate from the actual conuting, but we actually have someone running around with a pushcounter getting a number for us! This way is SO MUCH EASIER than trying to jot the hundred or so of y'all down in my notebook.
Also I'm still working out the total logistics of it but I would like to keep the cash desk open for the entirety of the event for future furbowls. For badge stampings, lost and found, cash payments, general info stuff. We're still working this out though so don't expect to see it immediately!
Also I have asked Or3o to create a video for the DE Furbowl that explains the details! Y'know, the details. The too long too read block of text that explains the night that nobody reads and always asks me about anyways. Anyways he was at the last furbowl getting some good footage and rumors are spreading about getting a green screen involved? This is another thing that still on the horizon though so we'll have to deal with the TL;DR version of the details for a bit longer.
Also I want to shout out to Fawkes Beaumont who has been very helpful with the event and I have asked him to be part of the permanent staff for the DE Furbowls! He joins Reaux, LupineSpark, LunaCevere, and myself in running this show. Welcome to the insanity!
Other than that guys, I want to thank you all again for keeping the DE Furbowl rocking! Our next event will be on May 28th! The week after FA:U 4! I hope to see you guys out there for both!
