(replying to my own post LOL)

I am laughing at myself for the grandiose plans I had after AC last year, concerning costumes I was going to have made for  this year. Hah!

To paraphrase Rumsfeld, "You go to Anthrocon with the costume or fursuit you have. It's not the costume or fursuit you might want, or wish to have at a later time."

hahahahahaha someday I'll have that bat fursuit and mermaid costume and the three variations of Dragonfairy and the Black Cat/Red Queen suit... but for now, it's gonna be the same old same old Dragonfairy!! (okay, well actually I do have two versions of Dragonfairy. And I do have the prototype bat costume which I wore for Halloween last year, it's not bad...)

But the main thing is... it's gonna be FUN!!!!! Can't wait to see you all!

If I get a car before AC I'll be going this year. I'm driving there everyday from Beaver County.

Got a room at the Westin as well. Going for a safer version of what I did last year (this time I can catch a nap in my own room instead of outside/ in the zoo).

Hope to meet up with many furs (local and otherwise) there. Drop me a line when you want to meet up.

How're you going to get to and from the con each day? Bus or driving? 'Cause parking downtown is pretty pricey.

actually, maybe it isn't as bad as I thought. Here's a nifty interactive map, click on the garage/lot and see what the rates are. Looks like the surface lot on Smallman is a good deal, and it is close tot he convention center. http://www.downtownpittsburgh.com/parking/parking-map

was planning on driving in. my mothers car can be folded up and put in her purse when not in use...if not parking prices didn't seem to bad although my only worry was availability each day im there

hm, any route from his hotel to con would involve a transfer, a lengthy ride, and a decent walk... at $3.00 per person for ride + transfer, each way, it'd be cheaper and easier to pay $8-$10/day to park.

yes would definitely be cheaper just to park. plus don't have to wait for the bus or worry about missing transfers and stuff.

No, it was a decent idea, Hitorione. I just wish we could say that Pittsburgh is a city where it would make sense to hop on a bus or el train or subway to go 4 miles from the bustling university center to the busy downtown and convention center... sadly, Pittsburgh is not such a town Sad

Speaking of it being quite soon. Still looking for a place to stay for the 3 days. If anyone has room for 2-3 people, I would love you for life. but if not thats fine. Probably just rent a motel semi-close and park near the con. Happy anime smile
