What is Furnanza? 

Well, besides being the single most important event for members of Eastern Fur Meets, it is a fundraiser to help awareness and funds for animals sheltered at the PSPCA.  This picnic and benefit is for those who want to help out our furry friends in need.  All proceeds from this event will be awarded to the PSPCA along with a bonus donation from the local Wal-mart based on attendance.

When is Furnanza?

On July 16th between the hours of 2-6pm you can eat food, play games, pal around with suiters and win prizes.  All this for a small donation of $10!  ($15 if you pay when you arrive)  This event is not only fursuit friendly it is also DOG friendly. 

Where is Furnanza?

Furnanza is located at the Boyertown Park in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.  Use this link to get directions to the Boyertown Community Park

What can I do at Furnanza?

At Furnanza there will be fun activities such as Door prizes, face painting, raffle prizes, a LIVE DJ, carnival type games, playground equipment, a baseball field and of course, FOOD!  We will also have information on pets available for adoption from the PSPCA and from MaPaw.

I heard prizes, tell me more!

With each ticket donation you have a chance to win free prizes at the event.  Free door prizes include dog toys, cat treats and even gift cards.  We also have raffle tickets you can purchase.  With these tickets you can enter for a chance to win a prize of your choice.  Prizes from the raffles include a Doggy Gift Basket, hanging decorative animal signs, hand made doggy quilts, hand made pillows and more!

Is this a Fursuit friendly event?

Yes, Furnanza is furry friendly event.  Meaning fursuits are welcomed and even encouraged!  Just keep in mind it is the middle of summer, so keep yourselves hydrated and always have a handler.

Am I allowed to bring my dog?

As long as your animal is up to date on all current shots, is properly leased, collared and is friendly with children and other dogs then yes.  We have volunteers ready at all times at this event to provide water and frozen treats to keep your companions comfortable in the heat.

This is a little far for me to drive, is there someplace I can stay?

Boyertown is home to a lovely Bed and Breakfast that is not even five minutes from the park.  We also have a motel about ten minutes from the park and a Comfort Inn about 15-20 minutes from the park.  Links to all three are listed below.
