I've been looking into getting a suit done of a secondary character of mine, but I wouldn't want to do it just for my own entertainment since I only get to a con once a year and don't know any local furs or meets. Are there any groups on the eastern side of the state that do volunteer events? What would I need to do to join such a group? Is there usually paperwork involved for doing things with kids, like entertaining at children's hospitals? I haven't been able to find much information on this just skipping through Google, so I figured a post here was in order. I also need to think of a name for the character if I decide to go through with it. It's a female ring-tailed lemur with just a few lime accents. She has a very excitable and happy personality. I want the name to be simple to remember and pronounce since the suit is intended to be friendly for audiences of all ages. So far, I've been thinking of things like "Leaf," "Clover," and so on that evoke the lime accents, but none of them seem just right. "Leah" seemed close today, but still not right on the money... |

Most furry events are fursuit friendly actually. Check on Surple.com for things going around in the area. And, you're not all that far from me either, so perhaps I could see you around at some point.

There are some meets that are fursuit friendly, though i don't know about the volunteering, never looked into it. How does Lora sound as a name? Lora the Lemur. :3
