So...My name is Kara (Call me Kare or Thorn) I'm 20 years of age going to be 21 (w00t!) next month on the 27th 
I live in Philadelphia PA
I got into the furry fandom during my freshmen year of high school, Though I don't have a fursuit, I'm trying to save up for one. I have no sewing skills at all 
I' am a tad bit shy, even on the internet so don't take it offensive if you ask me something or say something and I don't answer quickly or say something you dislike, I'm horriable at socializing 
but once I get close to you I'll open up and do random things.
I haven't gone to a Con yet, but I want to try to go to Antrocon 2012...lets see if I can get my suit by then and enough money to do con things

I work in Center City, so you might see me around town from time to time. I'd make a comment about meeting for a beer, but the PA LCB says you can't do that just quite yet!

hehe I'm not usually downtown often, but I do go to surprise my boyfriend when he's leaving school or decided to window shop at the gallery 
I mostly down 2nd and market chillin at P.A.W.S. and I'll be able to legally drink in 31 days!

Plus you're a close enough to Deleware for some of their events.
I'll try and make it to some events, that is, if I find a ride...I can probably get a family member to drive me or someone who is also going to the event. I can't wait for one 
Well, not to derail, but The Furst State's having their montly furry bowling meet up on Saturday. Cici's Pizza near Newark De at 6:30, bowling up near Wilmington aroun 9pm. Meet ends midnight.
yeah I had seen that event posted on the forums but not sure if I can go...that and I don't have a fursuit I don't wanna be the odd one 
Not having a suit should never stop you from a meet. No all furs have one (myself included). You should go if to meet and greet others, even out of suit.
actually, most at the bowling meet don't have a fursuit. maybe 1/3. having one puts you in the odd-man category
Yeah X3 you don't need a fursuit for events. If having a fursuit was a requirement, then there wouldn't be many meets at all XD
Some meets aren't even fursuit friendly either <.< depends on where it's going to be.
welcome thorn! don't worry about a suit right away. i don't have one yet (though mine is a WIP). took me about 4 years in the fandom to decide i wanted to the responsibilty and up keep of it, plus some cost a good amount if you're not making it.
