(Not a furry fan? That's cool. You're still welcome here.)
Hi there! My name is Raina. I live in Pittsburgh and work in Robinson at the moment. I've felt a strong connection with all things canine since early childhood, which may be surprising considering I never had a pet growing up... I felt a yearning or an instinct before I even knew what wolves were. A huge puzzle piece clicked when I came across a Zoobooks on wolves and wild dogs.
I've never really had a chance to discuss anything furry, to say nothing of going to a con. My humanish interests include dance, reading and writing lit, exploring weird out-of-the way places, and exploring weird, out-of-the-way people. >^.^<
Rain
welcome to the site
Welcome! What do you do for your work, out of curiosity?
I am manager at a power supply specialty store. In other words, I sell batteries.
Soap. I make and I sell soap...
LOL. Thank you, Mr. Durden! (Love that movie!)
I swim in a sea of movie quotes and phrases I come up with that tend to sound like movie quotes
Welocme to the site Raina, Hope you enjoy your stay here, Feel free to message me if you would like to.
Welcome to the site, you will find many friends here. I think it's safe to say we're all weird and out-of-the-way.

You are not the first person to tell me that today. Maybe I'm just a sister coming home....
Got some good news for you: Anthrocon is pretty much in your back yard!
I recognize your icon, too. I have a full sized print of that picture hanging on the wall of my livingroom.
I also took the liberty of putting your post on the front page:

Yay! I actually had the great fortune of having a friend gift me with what he saw me as. That one is going up now! The gorgeous wolf woman on my current icon will be in my skin as soon as I have the money. Thanks!
Hiya and welcome to the site! I'm in pittsburgh myself so mayhaps we can do something together sometime! I'm sure you'll love it here, feel free to pm or im me anytime ya like if you want to talk about stuffs! Have fun~ i'll be.. around. *curls up under a rocking chair*
I will probably go to the next one if someone will be so kind as to accompany me.
Perhaps we can spend some time together while we are there! I'm rather shy myself but i found it easier after a while to open up somewhat at AC. If you need someone to hang out with, hopefully we'll get long!
Sounds great!
I'm feeling welcome, thank you.
i call dibs on the newbie. i mean it be my honer to act as your convention liaison
Now now, Forzii already offered to be a Guide... You cant just take things From Forzii... For Forzii is too Adorable for that...Its the equivalent of taking candy from a baby and then kicking the babys puppy for added evil-ness ><
*crawls out from under the rock she's been hiding under for the past week* Yay! Another girl fur! ^^ Welcome, let's have a sleep over at AC! We'll play truth or dare and give each other make overs ^^
or... you know...hang out
I'm up for any of the above! I've never been part of a makeover session, actually. It's not that I'm lacking in girliness, but I've never had girly friends. And yes, Forzii called dibs. Get in line, sir.
In the extreme, but it has been awhile for me too. Being a female wandering abandoned areas alone is rarely a good idea, armed or unarmed. I need someone to explore with, badly.
By the way Hitch and Hitorione, you have really cute sig lines.
howllo miss wolfie and welcome to the famdom ^^ i live/work in the robbinson area as well. what store did you say you manage at?
Batteries Plus
I too, lack in girlyness, and believe it or not, I'm in Robinson too. If you ever are around the mall, cheers. I live at Westpointe, I would love to hang out.
Actually, I've no lack for girlyness. I just happen to have some so-called masculine interests in my repertoire. And sure, I'm up for hanging out!
Yup. We sell all of the batteries that are available in the US, rebuild or outright fabricate others, sell chargers for a lot of things, do other custom work, and sell the two best flashlight brands (Streamlight and Surefire). One part techie nerd, one part retail wage slave.
You have an amazing job. Not the retail part, that part sucks. But the battery part is awesome. I'm the kind of nerd that when I acquired my first 12V alkaline lantern battery (at age 12-ish) I was on could 9. Reminds me of a place in Lancaster, Pa called Battery Warehouse.
Lantern batteries are 6V.
Battery Warehouse is a major competitor in some markets, though we've little one-to-one competition here.
6V is the most common lantern battery, but there is also a 12V variety, essentially 2 6V batteries stuck together:

I'll have to remember Batteries Plus next time I need an unusual battery.
LOL! I sell one or two of those a year and I forget they exist until someone brings in their old one. They are indeed a good hobbyist battery; I've never sold one for an actualy lantern. And yes, patronize us. We are cheaper than costco on high end alkaline anyway.
And one on McKnight Rd and one in Monroeville. All the same franchise.

Had a "duh" moment: along with dancing, music is the biggest part of my life.
