Hiyas all! I thought that I would just put one of those good old fashioned "Who are you?" kinda threads/topics. I know most of us know eachother but it'd be good for somone late to come into the game to see, doncha think? Just some general information about yourself would suffice, not everyone is keen on reading anothers profile.

Well, anyways, I be Rabids, Bucks County's 14 year old squirrely whom is currently un-employed and looking for a job! =3

Heh... the funny thing about that is that no less than half the games listed are also available on xbox. Tongue

The recent ones (and ultimately better overall) of MGS and SC are on PS2 only, and the DDRs available on Xbox are not true to the Rest of the series. Timesplitters is available on all systems, true... and IMO is better in all ways except for online play than Halo. PS2 also has GTA, but I'm not a big fan of that series.
There are also many other big hits (although not personal favs) that are Ps2 only: Xenosaga, Shadow Hearts, SOCOM, Gran Turismo...

I can't disagree with that. The only Xbox exclusive games I have any interest in are Panzer Dragoon Orta, Steel Battalion (What can I say? I'm a sucker for huge awesome controllers.), and DDR Ultramix 3, which, unlike the first two, actually has a respectable songlist. Most of the games I'd play regularly are on both PS2 and Xbox, or just PS2. (Or gamecube, but that's another discussion.)

I'm Rain, a female tabby cat in the Central PA area. Probably too freakin' old to be here at 32. Currently, I'm in college - again - this time to be a Medical Laboratory Technician (I've got a ways to go before I get the degree). I draw my own comic strip as well as make stuff (clothes, socks, cards, jewelry, whatever) as well as read a lot (mostly history or science). Always happy to chat with new friends. *Brsitles whiskers*

Thanks for snapping me out of my mewling. I no longer feel as if I have grey fur around all the fuzzy kittens. Hey, as long as a job pays your bills, you are doing well in my estimation! My job may not be the best, but it keeps me covered while I'm in school. (Thank goodness for financial aid, however!) =^+^=

In RL my name is Matt and I work as a computer technician for The Computer Barn in Carlisle, PA. I have a BS/Comp Sci from Shippensburg and I have my own place in town. I am a christian, an artist, computer geek, programmer, hopeless caffine addict, audiophile, and have an abnormal ability to remember numbers. I have a solid black cat named Marcus and I play bass guitar. My laptop is an Asus Z80K which I custom-built; it's an nForce 3 250-based machine with an AMD Athlon 64-M 3400+ at 2.2GHz with 1MB cache, 512MB LL DDR, ATi Radeon Mobile 9700 Pro 128MB dedicated graphics, 15.4" SXGA+ LCD, and Seagate 60GB drive. I enjoy various types of electronic music including analog synth, 8-bit, trance, synthpop and experimental. You can view my photos and artwork on my album, or if you're really a stalker, you can easily spot me on the webcam at work.

So, what's your choice of caffiene?

I've found that I enjoy Wawa Coffee and Duncan Donuts coffee myself. Starbucks is allright, but it has this distinctly burned taste to it. :-/

I usually get Starbucks whole bean and grind it very finely before brewing. My favorite is probably Sumatra, and its usually between double to triple strength when I make it... never noticed a 'burnt' flavor except in the espresso roast. I like it, but I have to be careful with bean/water ratio. If I make it the same as Sumatra or House Blend it ends up tasting like used motor oil, lol.

La Prima Espresso (brand) Italian espresso roast, bought in bulk at the East End Food Coop, ground on the fine side but not too fine, brewed in my Bialetti Italian stovetop espresso maker, with 1/4 cup coconut milk and 1/3 cup rice milk mixed together and heated in a small pan then poured into the coffee, and a teaspoon of local honey. Not that I'm fussy or anything...
Starbucks lattes taste good, but they only offer a choice of cow milk or soy milk, both of which make me fart something awful Shock . Coconut milk is yummier and healthier anyway.

Anyone ever try chocolate covered coffee beans? I have learned from experience, when you get the strong coffee beans, do *NOT* eat more than 5 or 6 in one sitting. My brother and I split a bag a while back and people were ready to kill us! You eat too many of those things you start talking like thisanditdriveseveryonenutsespeciallywhenyoujustkeeptalkingandtalking. Gotta love caffeine. Withoutit, I'd have very littler personality at all.

I've eaten a whole box of dark chocolat covered expresso beans =D
My main source of caffene though would either be Dunkin Donuts Toasted almond coffe or their Carmal Latte! Yay for the caffinated beverages!

Hello there PA Furs and friends in nearby states! Smile

Swift Fox here residing just outside of the fine City of Pittsburgh on the western side of the state. Smile My fursona is that of a cross fox kit and I entered the fandom via my spirituality as Fox is one of my spirit guides and totems.

For those who don't know me, and yes there are a few, I'm a 37 year old Architectural Designer and Volunteer Firefighter. I've been active in the fandom for nigh on ten years now and just love the "family" atmosphere I found on-line and IRL when dealing with furs.

I've been coordinating furry gatherings here in Western PA for the last 7 years now and currently play host to the Western PA Furry Weekend, being held each year over Columbus Day weekend. http://www.wpafw.org If you want to know what's going on here in Western PA, I'm usually pretty well connected and in the know.

I'm also an avid fursuiter and try my paw from time to time drawing furry art and writing short stories. In my spare time I enjoy Astronomy, Sailing, Camping, Hiking, Travelling, Role-playing and when I can fit it into my schedule...relaxing. Smile

Big thanks to the spotty cat, Giza, for hosting not only the mailing list but also this forum for PA Furs.

umm, I love anime, RPing, RPGs, drawing, and many other things. I'm a friendly person, so feel free to say hi and chat =)

Always hoping to meet some furs in the area as well, sometime.

Hello Shinigami!

Welcome to the list and welcome to the Pittsburgh/Western PA furry scene. Smile

Meets and such here are on a temporary hiatus as most of the folks involved with holding meets are involved and busy with planning for the upcoming Furry Weekend, held each year over Columbus Day Weekend here in Da'Burgh. You may have seen the posts for this event already, but I'll point you to the site anyway. http://www.wpafw.org

Normally we have monthly fur meets and many smaller meets through out the year just to stay in touch and get together for a good time. There are about two dozen furs in the Pittsburgh metro area and about three dozen others living west of the Allegheny Mountains north and south of Pittsburgh.

My wife and I live up in Aspinwall, across the Allegheny from the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium. Roughly what part of town are you and your friends in?

Hope to hear from you again. Feel free to drop me an e-mail.

But yeah, I've already looked at the site and hopefully I can go, only problem is finding a ride because I dont' have a license yet and not sure if I'll have it in time for that ^^'
