I live in an old house that was built around the turn of the 20th century (1901-1903). It's been in my family since its construction, and despite the fact that pretty much everyone in my family has been terrified of being trapped into living in this house, giving it and the associated memories up is a heartbreaking thought.

The house is in dire need of repair. We lost drain spouts to Snowpocalypse, we have a ceiling that collapses once every 5-10 years without fail, and the water pressure in our shower leaves much to be desired. This is among other problems that I have no clue about.

So where do I need help? I'm hoping that there might be at least one fur in the Pittsburgh area, or even someone coming in for Anthrocon that I can con into sticking around for another day or arriving early, that knows something about home repair. We just want to get an idea of what can be fixed, and at what cost. It's going to help us to know if we'll be able to keep the house in the family for years to come.

Thanks guys!

I love all of you guys so much right now. Hopefully I'll see some of you soon so that we might be able to chat about this in person.
