What: First Night Pittsburgh, Fursuit Frolic

When: December 31, 2013 from ~6pm - 11pm

Where: Westin Convention Center Hotel - Crawford Room - Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The group has been invited to participate in the First Night Parade this year!  All parade participants, suiters and handlers, will be given a First Night Button which allows them to get into the other First Night venues and activities planned for the evening. After the parade I hope we'll all hang out and entertain the attendees of First Night for a while.

Parade Line up is at 7:30pm. Step off is at 8pm.  The parade route goes from 9th and Penn, down Penn Ave, to 6th and Ft Duquesne Blvd...about 5 blocks total.

As the Cultural Trust can not help us by providing function space to use as a Green Room this year I have contracted with the Westin to reserve the Crawford Room to use as a Green Room from 6pm to 11pm New Year's Eve at a cost of $300.  That's more than my wife and I can absorb. To offset this cost of providing a safe space to get in and out of suit, store your footlockers, warm up, refresh and rehydrate, we would like to ask the participants to chip in $20 to help offset this cost.

Current count are approximately eight (Cool fursuiters and six (6) handlers.

First Night is held annually by the Pittsburgh
Cultural Trust on New Year's Eve as a family friendly way to ring in the
New Year.

Sil and I will bring in cookies to share and we'll make sure there's a couple cases of bottled water.  If folks have fans and can bring one along, that would be a great help!

Also, best places to park Tuesday night will be either the Grant Street Transportation Center garage, 9th and Penn or 9th and Liberty Garages.  All should have $5 flat rate parking.
