Hi! My name is Taggianto, or Tagg. I'm a 27 year old living in Lancaster, PA. I've been interested in furries and the furry fandom since I was in High School, but I never had the courage to look further into it, due to the stigma associated with the group.

But in recent years I've learned to follow my own passions, stigma be damned. So here I am.

I literally have no idea what I'm doing.

I have ideas, thoughts, possibly goals, but I figured the best place to start was at the beginning, admitting I'm brand new to this and just letting you all know who I am.

In Real Life, I work as a receptionist (technical term Customer Service Representative) for a small physician's practice. I'm very crafty, making everything from crochet to chainmaille. I used to draw a lot in high school, but I've since gotten out of practice. I have a bachelor's degree in graphic design, but I've found that working in the design field 24/7 burns me out quick. So now I have the afformentioned CSR position, and I do my graphics on the side.

I'm very into the Sherlock fandom, and have several RP accounts for the show on twitter. I've made some incredible friends this way, and written some very complex stories. I also used to write fanfiction for the show, but have since mostly stopped.

In my private life, I've started to identify as genderqueer. I was born female, and mostly act female, but I have very masculine tendancies and have always identified more with traditional male roles. So this is my first forrey into exploring that side of me.

At this point, without much more than a cursory knowledge of how things work, I tend to see myself with a male fox avatar (persona? fursona? what is the correct and accepted term?), but beyond that, I look to find out more before detailing anything much more than that.

So, uh, to make a long post short, hello!

Hey there Tagg!  I'm pretty new myself (both to the site and the fandom as a whole) but welcome!  Always cool seeing new faces.

'Fursona' is the generally accepted term in the community, though I find myself typically referring to Axle Gear as 'my character.' ^^

As for 'how things work?'; I don't think there's really much of a guideline for that.  Foxes are usually a good start for a fursona, though, being the most photogenic of animals.  Generic smiley face You'll get a good feel for things after lurking around a bit.

Howdy!

You might want to look into this thread for some other Lancaster furs.

Also, I put your post on the front page.

Hmm...a southern PA Fur!   Well I'm up in schuylkill county and currently running small meets and such up north in Scranton and Wilkes Barre, but as the weather warms, I'm planning event-meets down south in Lehigh county, Berks County, Northumberland County, Columbia County and finally Lancaster County ^.^  Feel free to watch or friend me, as I plan to break my long silence (over several months) on this site by posting these events as they're set into motion.
