Well i just wanted to pop in and say hello but furthermore i have a slightly silly question, you see me and a fur named bitmap fox have the idea to set up a meet in Erie PA but the thing is im not quite sure how to go about it to be honest or how to even start it off, The most weve decided is that it would be held in the Erie Zoo most likely in the park, hard to find furries around here lol ^^;; ...but anyways does anyone have any ideas to help me out? Im new to it all.

Hi, I bumped your post to the front page for visibility.

My take on starting a furmeet is that it's best to be pretty informal. You'd much rather exceed low expectations, than fail to live up to high ones.

You could certainly try announcing a meet here, as well as on the LJ community and mailing list.

Be sure to give advance notice, at least 2-3 weeks.

Be sure to be clear on when and where the meet will be.

Be sure to designate a person as "point of contact" and give out their cellphone number so others can get a hole of them and catch up with the group. (people always arrive late to these things Tongue )

Good luck!

Alo.

Well, First things first you should get all your basics Down, Do you have a Date, Time, Exact location (Like what part of the park so no one has trouble finding the group)Do you have a list of furs in your Area or who might attend, if not It would prolly be good to atleast get an Estimate online, ask who is close and would enjoy attending that. Once you know How many you got decide what your going to do, you just gona walk circles around the zoo, or you guys gona stop and eat, are you paying or would they be expected to get there own, Things Like this and so on and so forth.
